Karen Ashby was born on August 6th. She accepted Christ into her heart at a very young age and then moved from state to state in the US during most of her early years.
She worked most of her life as a caregiver, first starting with her own family. She currently resides in the Houston, Texas area.
Karen considers her faith and family most important to her. She is passionate about frequent and consistent prayer, serving God, family and community, and encouraging individuals in their walk with the Lord – keeping them consistently in her prayers. She has been faithfully serving as a minister for thirteen years and currently attends church in Houston, Texas.
She is the proud mother of four amazing adults and Nana to six adorable grandchildren. Her greatest joy was introducing her children to the Lord at a tender age, and now her grandchildren. When Karen is not writing or reading, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and most of all, spending time IN HIS PRESENCE!
In His Presence: Daily Conversations with God is Karen’s first book. You can find a prayer for encouragement, to rely on God for strength, to find rest in His presence, to be restored to wholeness, to gain wisdom, or to receive forgiveness, just to name a few.
